What makes the legendary clothing brand Supreme so special? Supreme opened its flagship store on Manhattan’s Lafayette Street in April 1994; it was a spot where skateboarders could hang out and find a like-minded community. Supreme’s minimalist logo — a simple san-serif font in a red box — conveyed its quiet, unadulterated approach to business. At first, customers could buy only T-shirts and hoodies. Over the coming years, Supreme’s founder, James Jebbia, expanded, offering a full sportswear and lifestyle line. Today, it’s a global brand with 12 locations that has both transcended and stayed true to its street-culture skateboarding roots in SoHo. It is a business that celebrates art and design. Supreme has worked with artists Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons, designers Thom Browne and Adam Kimmel, and corporations such as Nike, North Face and Oakley. It offers desirable limited-run products — past collaborative efforts have yielded exclusive items as diverse as Everest Boxing Gloves (2008), Brooklyn Machine Works Bike (2000) and George Condo decks (2010) — that beautifully reflect craftsmanship, innovation and creativity and each with a strong design aesthetic and unique identity. Its product drops are insanely popular and anticipated. Dozens of celebrities, including Lady Gaga, Drake and Kate Moss, wear apparel sporting the classis Supreme logo. In 2018, Supreme was awarded the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Menswear Designer of the Year Award.
Cressi is pleased to announce that its mask and snorkel set has been chosen for Supreme’s 2019 Spring/Summer Accessories Collection, which is focused on hobbies and lifestyle products. Dare to push the boundaries with this mask and snorkel and discover a beautiful and wild world when you go underwater. The eye-catching design of the mask has a purpose — the tear-drop-shaped tempered-glass lenses give you a panoramic view of colorful coral reefs, fish, sharks, and anything else you want to view in an ocean, sea or even pool. Side windows give you better peripheral vision as well as let in lots of light. The sturdy polycarbonate frame is lightweight and the super-soft skirt and head strap are made of hypoallergenic, 100% liquid silicone so there is no uncomfortable pinching on your face. The double-feather-edge skirt makes a perfect seal on all face shapes, so there are no annoying leaks. The dry snorkel also keeps water out and its unique clear housing lets you see the quality of workmanship and thoughtful design — a pivoting valve in the dry top and purge valve at the bottom.
Supreme prides itself on being underground, unconforming and uncompromising. The products it drops are authentic, inspirational and impeccably cool. We at Cressi are proud to have our mask and snorkel selected for Supreme’s 2019 Spring/Summer Accessories Collection. We hope to encourage and inspire a generation of nondivers to try snorkeling and scuba diving — and discover a world that is beautiful, mysterious, wild and free.
